At the beginning of August this year Ali decided she was going to help make a difference to someone else’s life and on the 20th October 2016, Ali held a fundraiser auction in aid of ‘Help Sophia Fight Lyme’.
With a lot of generous donations from local businesses and individuals, a raffle and a half marathon completed by Ali herself, she managed to raise over £4025.00 towards this worthy cause.
It’s amazing what one person can achieve when they put their mind to it!!!
A little bit about Sophia:-
Sophia, who lives in Prestbury, has been in excruciating and unexplained pain since 2008 and recently they received the news that she has Lyme Disease, as well as another chronic illness, POTS (Postural Tachycardia Syndrome)
Unfortunately, the treatment she needs is not available here in the UK, so she needs to raise around £30k to fund her treatment to the USA. This could not only completely CHANGE her life, it will hopefully GIVE HER A LIFE BACK. At only 27, she deserves this chance.
Sophia is currently in the USA having her treatment and for more information about Sophia check out her blog at www.spooniesophia.com

Ali & Teresa completed the slightly muddy Cheltenham Challenge 10k on June 19th 2016 and added another £350 to their fundraising for Sue Ryder Leckhampton Hospice.
A day when the whole area of Fairview was involved. There was a trail starting at the Cricket Club for people to follow, taking in the whole area. Along the way they could collect clues to enter a community raffle.
We took the opportunity to raise money for Sue Ryder Leckhampton Hospice with a tombola, cake sale, book & DVD stall and with the help of the lovely Makeda Bernard – Halo Meditation – offering angel readings and Heidi Mainwaring – Heidi-Made-It – offering handmade crafts.
Together we raised £150!!
